Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix a Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was a natural athlete and developed a passion to sprint in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first race, Felix finished second in the 200 meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for an official career at Adidas in 2003. She later enrolled in University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place at Athens Greece. She set the Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 second. The year 2005 was the time she became the youngest world champion of 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, defeating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top three in all of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
