Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor from 11 November 1996. After her first small part as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character in A View to a Kill (Bond film, 1985) She went on to portray the Nazi-sympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Doovan played Charlotte as Taffin in 1988. Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody started modeling after being approached by an experienced photographer. It led to an enviable modeling career in the commercial world. Doody was averse to glamour and nude work. This was a principle that was carried into her acting. In 1985, after being noticed by the casting directors of an upcoming James Bond new film, Doody took a small portion of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody was listed as one of the top 12 promising young Actors from 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody was still only 18 at the time of her appearance in the Bond part. Today, she is the youngest Bond girl. A different early film played a tiny part in the film in a small role as IRA Siobhan Doovan, a member of the IRA in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) in which she starred Mickey Rourke. Doody had a non-speaking role in the 1987 television version of The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in his dream. The Storyteller episode from 1988 was her first appearance in the main role of Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. She then took on her most memorable role to date in the film Taffin as Austrian Nazisympathiser and Archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film with Sean Connery in the film in the role of Indy's father. Doody has co-starred alongside Jonathan Pryce, in the British mini-series Selling Hitler. The series was an inspiration for the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. When she moved to Hollywood, Doody became famous. Chosen to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokesperson for L'Oreal She went on to perform alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II in the role of Flannery his girlfriend and agent. Doody's return to the big screen came in 2003 when Michael Caine played Doody in the role of a brief. Doody's roles included a TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 and a book about the Holocaust and an animated short called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. In 2010, Doody shot a part in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). Doody was a guest on RTE's Medical drama The Clinic. The project was later canceled. In 2011 she began the first of two seasons in the E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. She appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). The Almeria the tierra de film prize was presented to her on the 21st of November, 2018. She also received a star at the Almeria Walk Of Fame.
