Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and discovered her love of sprinting while in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed in second place in the 200 meter event during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix signed a contract for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion for running 200m. The following year, she won the title in front of her Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She consistently placed at the top of the podium in every event.
